Trust isn't an easy thing to gain, especially when you've given the one your trying to gain it from a reason not to. It's also a hard thing to give. Slendy gently stroked Maskys head as I sat nearby observing. Masky opened his eyes as Slendy removed his mask. He jolted back and Slendy waved a calming hand. He then turned to me and asked me to speak for him. I didn't understand, but agreed. Masky shot a worried glance in my direction as Slendy payed me attention.
"I'm speaking for him so just ignore me." I stated before speaking for Slendy. "Now Timothy my dear boy."
"T-Tim. C-call me Tim, I ah, I hate Timothy." Tim interupted. It hit me hard as I realized it. Slendy had released Masky and was gaining Tim's trust, to better controll the personallity that was Masky. Slendy started speaking through me again and I paid attention to the conversation. I was practically just a mouth piece.
"Verry well, Tim then. I understand that my apearance is unsettling to say the least." We said.
"Yeah. You could say that."
"The next bit of news may unsettle you more. You see, you've been working for me for quite a while now. Two years in fact. You've been a servant."
"I'm sorry what?" Tim backed away in fear and shock.
"Just listen. You've done things for me, mainly manual labor and door holding. Occasionally you've faught but I've tried to keep that minimal for you. However, you've never really trusted me. I wish to change that. I need you to trust me, not run from me." Slendy finnished. Tim nodded, then ran like hell screaming for help. We chased after, Slendy opting to run instead of teleporting. Honestly it was a humorouse sight. The others aproached to stop him but he slapped them away and continued to run, now sreaming about a 'house of monsters'. Slendy finally managed to wrangle him in tendrils and shot a blank glare at me.
"You said that building trust was the key!" He snarled.
"Yes but it takes time!" I replied. Slendy grabbed me and lifted me into the air. He layed his hand on the nearest proxy's head and Ellery fell asleep. Slendy lifted her and did the same to the other proxys. He layed them all in thier beds. He then set me down at the door and told me to stay in that spot. I did so.
An hour later he returned with Tim unconciose and Kate in tow. Kat entered the room and glared at me.
"She'll enshure they don't starve while asleep. Now, let's go." Slendy irritatedly lifted me and we teleported to an old shack. He set Tim down and sat me next to him. I started to tilt my mask up but Slendy pushed it back over my face. He strode over to the corner and leaned on the wall. I looked around the room.
The room consisted of two matresses on the floor, a table in the center, and a large pile of bones in the left corner. I noticed that most of those bones where gnawed on. All of them human. I shuddered and hugged my knees, resting my chin on them. Slendy was silent, but my link told me he was angry. He wanted full obediance from every proxy. Tim was no exeption.
Somwhere in the back of my mind the building looked familiar. Slender looked in my direction. I shrunk a little, now feeling a little afraid. Slendy strode over to me and gently stroked my head. I let out a little sigh and calmed down. He then told me about the shack we were in. Aparently it was where he first quieted Hoody and Masky. The bone pile where test subjects for the quieting prosses.
Slendy told me why he had proxys in the first place. Aparently he saw some men out hunting and saw that thier hunting dogs would go and bring them thier prey. He told me that he tried to use dogs but his scent made them afraid. Then he relized that he could controll the human mind. He attempted to make those hunters into proxys without luck. Then he found two film studants in the woods.
Tim stirred and we ended our conversation. Tim shrieked in terror as soon as he saw the bones. I threw off my mask and braced his shoulders trying to calm him down. Slendy Spoke through me again.
"One way or the other you will have to trust me Tim. In the time you've worked for me you've lost your job, kidnapped people and killed other people. You've nowhere to go." Tim froze. He breathed hard and finally settled down. Slendy nodded and looked at me. He had me tell my story to Tim and he looked a little calmer.
"I'm not going to lie. Slendy here has had me hurt people, good, honest people. But you can't distrust him. For all that he's done for me, I'd follow even the worst of orders for him." I finished. Tim shook his head. He seamed uneasy again. Finally he agreed to give it a shot. Slendy patted his head and he flattened himself against the wall. I chuckled and stood. Slendy patted my head and I just took it and found my mask. I placed it on my face and turned to Tim.
"I-is that normal?" Tim asked.
"Oh yeah. You see, to Slendy we're somthing like a dog. Loyal pets. The only differance is that we can talk. Honestly I've taken naps in this guy's lap." I told him. Slendy then asked to speak through me.
"You should know that you've developed a seperate personallity. We call him Masky be cause he surfaces when you're wearing that mask. The hope is that, through gaining your trust and having him remember that, he'll trust me more when he resurfaces." Slendy handed him his mask. Tim regarded it then nodded. We spent the day just talking, then slept on the two matresses.
The next day Slendy told us to chill there and teleported away. He soon returned with two packages of cheasecake. Tim picked at it cautiosly while I just ate normally. Slendy showed us parts of the forest filled with what I can only describe as beuty. We spent time following him on a walk. It was like a vacation.
A weak past and Tim was almost entirley trusting of Slendy, who had a kind of hypnotising way to him. He wanted Tim to trust him and he did. Slendy Had been using favorite foods and his healing ability to win Tim over. Tim's illness was made easier on him through daily healing. Finally on the Wensday of the second weak Slendy had me speak again.
"It's about time we head back Tim. Here, this is your mask." He handed Tim the white mask and patted his shoulder. "I'll have to quiet you again, and you may verry well just be in the back of Masky's mind but this time you have a choice. Become my proxy like River, and work for me, or remain Tim and just let me be a memory in the corners of your mind as you rebuild your life."
Tim looked the mask over. He finally sighed and looked up at Slendy, who simply tilted his head. Tim slid the mask over his face and nodded. "Let's do this." He said. Slendy lifted him and held him near. Tim made an unshure noise but held still. In a few moment's I felt Masky's usuall essace around me.
"Y'all right Masky?" I asked. Slendy set him down and Masky shook his head, reajusting to the mind controll.
"Yeah. I'm good. So, I guess I was a little unreasonable. I never expected to have a second chance." Masky looked up at Slendy who leaned over with anticipation. He lifted his mask to reviele a smile.
"Okay, I trust you. My Master." Slendy nodded and gently ruffled his hair.
